This has been a very tough month for all of us. The initial crisis, the uncertainty of the outcome of surgery, and now the waiting game of the recovery. There are many prayer chains. Family and friends from coast to coast are praying and sending positive thoughts daily to M.E. and the Whelan family. God is listening and M.E. is totally in His hands.
Family usually is defined by those that are related by genetics. Outside of the immediate family, I have been blessed to meet Dave and M.E.'s brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, and a best friend and sorority sister that married M.E.s cousin..the list goes on. What a great family.
There is another example of "family" that I have seen. This is the family of the Yakima Tennis Club. I am so proud of this family. The love and works that we have seen have been amazing. I know that this will continue as we travel this road together.
