Sorry for the lack of post yesterday. Was a busy day with family arriving from out of town.
Mom is doing very well. She is not on a the breathing machine anymore-as of this morning at 8:30am. She still has the Trache in, which is giving her some oxygen, but other than that she is doing all her own breaths. Because she is not having any more assist she is working a lot harder, and easily tired. Her heart rate runs in the mid-90's (as opposed to the mid-70's of a couple days ago).
Despite her infection, she is not running a fever anymore. Her labs (which they have drawn everyday) have also been consistently normal.
Because of how well she is doing she will most likely be moved out of ICU and onto a normal nursing floor maybe by the end of the weekend. I'll post another update later today. :)
