Its Monday Morning- We've been in to see her. She is going to have her 2nd CT scan at some point today. They were thinking maybe of taking off her sedation meds and letting her wake up today. But have decided to hold off (this is NOT bad news, but good) because we want her to rest.
She had a slight fever during the night, but were able to control it. Very normal with this type of surgery.
When Rhonda and I went in this morning her blood pressure went up and she started moving her arms and legs around (just small stretches). The nurses and doctor are encouraged as she is responding to our quiet voices. She does have amazing hearing....
We are still cautiously optimistic. We are trying to limit the amount of time we are in there, even when we are silent, as she seems to sense we are there and reacts. As Mom is so sensitive to having tubes in her throat, I don't want her to fight it.
I have printed off pictures of friends and family to hang in her room, so even though she won't be able to see them, we want all those who go into her room to see how beautiful she is when not so puffy.
We won't be giving her a mirror any time soon :).
