A quick update, as I have been AT HOME with Mom for 24 hours. She seems to be relaxing into her new environment. We got her up today into her wheelchair and gave her a re-grand tour of the house. She then played us in Memory (the children's game), dominos, and then quite a few rounds of 21. She, of course, with very little effort, kicked our butts. We then proceeded to put up the christmas tree with lights, under her direction. It was eventful afternoon, that tuckered her out by evening.
We talked today about all the blessings we have recieved this year. We are so blessed that Mom has touched people's lives with her story that they have been willing to help our family out. If you notice, we have a new total. We are over halfway to our goal, and we are so excited! Mom is so appreciative of all support, thoughts, prayers, cards, flowers, gifts, you name it- she knows about it!
She said, "Its such an amazing feeling, to feel this loved."
And she is. Thank you to all that has helped us thus far, we would not be where we are without your support.
