Wow! No other way to describe it. ME and I have met a lot of new people starting yesterday afternoon. This will continue into next week as MaryEleanor meets all of her new therapists with the rehab with out walls program. Two therapists braved the fog in Spokane and drove to glorious sunshine in Yakima. The reaction they both shared was one of wonder. The report they had been given on ME's progress was from 10 days ago. Needless to say they were both pleasantly surprised with the ME they met today.

MaryEleanor's nurse and I spent to day teaching each other a regimen that kinda makes sense, dramatically different than a hospital. With her leading the way, I was able to focus on other tasks. I successfully made mountains of paperwork into anthills. Trucks kept showing up with more "stuff", adding to the list of goodies arriving and nothing leaving, argh!

It was almost surreal to sleep in the same location as my bride last night. We both sensed it as we each experienced a sleep we haven't in quite a while. ME was doing what she does best when she is home, taking real naps. As the day progressed we all began to enjoy the lower level of intensity that being home allows.

The support people we have lined out here are great, friendly and respectful. It's a pleasure for them to experience ME and to experience the Whelan household.

The pent up demand of the Yakima crew is slowly being released. As Caitlin reported last night, ME was welcomed home by a group of unbelievable people who enjoyed the biggest smile as ME was carried through the front door.

Damn, it's nice to be home. Caitlin, thank you for the doing the post last night.
