MaryEleanor continues her journey of recovery. This past week showed remarkable improvement in her strength and dexterity. The Rehab Without Walls program has been approved for another month. ME's consistent improvement is the sole reason for this extension.
This weekend was filled with mixed emotions. Saturday brought Paul home for the weekend. ME's brother and sister-in-law drove over from Seattle for a visit. MaryEleanor had two people from the Rehab Without Walls program here. I jumped in the shower with ME early in the day and, with directions from Polly, assisted another in getting ME spruced up for the day. Early in the afternoon Polly and Steve headed back to Idaho. It was a tough good-bye. ME got in the last word though with a wisecrack about Polly trying to push her out of bed! Paul headed back to Bham mid afternoon on Sunday promising a return trip in two weeks.
ME had yet another therapy session late Sunday concluding with her getting into her chair, just about completely on her own! The two of us spent some quality time together before ME called it a day.
It's hard to believe that this journey began six months ago today. MaryEleanor has come a long way since that tragic night. All of the prayers and support she has received and continues to receive worked and is working. Thank you all and keep it up.
ME watched the men's final of the Australian Open. The level of play was spectacular. ME really wanted Roger to win his 14th grand slam. I caught parts of the Superbowl and got a bit excited when there were only two minutes to play. Damn Steelers!

6 months. . .unbelievable!! Even though this time has been incredibly tough for you both I still feel the need to celebrate! You speak of the love and support of others but it is indeed the love and support you give each other. You are an amazing couple and have much to celebrate this Valentine's Day.
