This past Thursday marked the eighth month of our journey to recovery.
This week saw many new "starts". MaryEleanor met her new group of therapists who will continue the awesome work accomplished by the folks of Gentiva. Caitlin started her third quarter at UW Medical School and Paul started Spring quarter at Western. Where has this year gone?
ME did host her own caregiver meeting as mentioned in my last post. We all discussed openly what we expect from them along with what they expect from ME. A new shower regimen was mapped out where only one person is with ME. Reports back to me at the end of the week were all good. We are extremely lucky to have assembled the people we have. They are all very caring and willing to try anything suggested to help. True to form, MaryEleanor had a gift bag with lotions and chocolates for each of them as they departed.
The weather this weekend here is great. It was 60 yesterday and promises to be the same today. Heavy machinery in the garage is calling my name. I will have to work fast though as ME is getting her hair done later this afternoon.
I think a little stroll outside is in order after we are finished with our chores.
Enjoy!
