Ten Months

Greetings!

It's difficult to believe that we are crossing the ten month mark today. Where has the time gone? MaryEleanor has been through so much, in so many places, it's makes your head spin. The important thing is she continues to progress in her recovery.

Summer decided to arrive a bit early this past week. We had a stretch of five days in the mid 90's right after Memorial Day weekend. June in the Yakima Valley normally brings the craziest weather. It's cherry season so the growers deal with the potential of cool weather followed by a hot spell with thunderstorms. Water from the sky and maturing cherries do not go well together.

ME is eating enough, normally, where she very seldom needs a boost through her tube. We are about a month away from removing her trache, hopefully this time forever! More systems are firing up and everyday she becomes more of the ME we knew 10 months ago.

MaryEleanor recognizes she has a ways to go but she also recognizes she has come a long way. She feeds off your energy, thoughts, prayers and comments! So, please keep them coming.

Little family news. Caitlin is wrapping us her first year at medical school at the "U". Paul is finishing his third year at Western Washington University and will heading back up to the Hoh Rain Forest in the Olympic National Forest for the summer.
