Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day from all of us here at the W4Ranch!

Phone calls were placed and cards received, just as it should be on this important day. Without Moms, where would we all be? A day to be pampered and the opportunity to spend time with family. It was no different here as ME enjoyed a nice shower, a little extra time with a head massage shampoo, a little lotion and a favorite for breakfast....waffles.

Paul came home for the weekend which was super as I had a list of things to get done that I could not accomplish by myself. The three of us enjoyed a great dinner Saturday night. None of us had any issues with falling asleep because of the blood rush to our tummies. Paul found another gear today and we checked off all of my "honey do's" before he headed back to Bham.

Unfortunately, MaryEleanor is stuck with me for the next couple of days as her caregiver asked for a couple days off. The upside is I will have a chance to observe her therapy sessions firsthand. ME is enjoying her new chair. I ordered a portable ramp which arrived Friday. We can now cruise out to the back patio when weather permits.

ME writes in her journal just about everyday. Why not let her do this outside where she can enjoy fresh air, fresh flowers and a ton of my crazy birds!

Couple of quick updates on ME's continued recovery. Since this past Tuesday, ME's trache has been capped 24/7. When she can comfortably keep it capped for at least a month, discussions will happen again to dc it. MaryEleanor is eating much more than she is being "fed". Depending on the day, she is down to two or three cans through her g-tube. She is not too far away from that hole being sealed.

Thank you all for your continued thoughts, prayers and support!

It was fabulous to see your handwriting on the recent card, ME. That alone showed amazing progress. Thanks for the continuing blog updates. Love, Bill & JoAnn
