Hi all,
It was a very busy week and weekend here. ME had many therapies throughout the week and continues to impress her therapists with her gains. MaryEleanor's improvements have been significant enough for the approval of four more weeks of help from the folks at Rehab Without Walls! This will pretty much carry her through the month of March.
The exciting thing that happened this past Thursday was ME's first car transfer! ME is now running around the house in a loaner manual wheelchair and because of it's size, it can cozy up to my Volvo. She popped into the front passenger seat for a view she has not seen for seven months, through a windshield. Her therapists will be working with ME to perfect this over the next couple of weeks. Just think of the potential for us once we are both confident working this simple action.
Paul was home for a brief visit and helped with many "honey-do's" before heading back to Bham late Saturday. We'll see both Paul and Caitlin in a few weeks during their spring break. Diane and Charlie spent most of yesterday here. They were pleasantly surprised when they walked in and found ME sitting at the kitchen table with a huge animated smile on her face. ME and Diane chatted and laughed all afternoon, just like they always do.
Today will be busy. First Dr's appointment where we go to them. We are meeting with ME's attending rehab doctor for the second time since we've been home. We are looking forward to this visit as he may provide us with an updated plan of care, short term and long term.
I will do my best to get back in the rhythm of twice a week posts. It's hard to believe we've been at this for seven months today. Time is flying!

Hi Dave & ME,
Very pleased to complete the Spring in the Northwest" quilt and see it on your blog. It will be exciting to watch the bidding process and I hope the auction will be very successful. It is encouraging to read all the updates on your continued progress with your therapy sessions. Keep up the hard, but rewarding work ME!!!
