MaryEleanor and I have been lucky to have both Caitlin and Paul home for the past few days. Paul arrived last Thursday after successfully completing his last final for winter quarter at WWU. Caitlin arrived on Saturday from WAZZU after a brief visit with Olivia Erlewine. Caitlin is Olivia's Matron of Honor for her wedding this summer.
Caitlin hosted a "Bridal Shower" at Olivia's this past Sunday. She learned a lot from her own last year and consulted ME on the "games" part of the shower. ME was invited to the shower but deferred to show up as things were winding down. Paul and I played taxi cab and delivered MaryEleanor to Olivia's where we all enjoyed catching up on a few years' worth of activities with the Erlewines'. Once back in her "taxi", we took the long way home, just a normal Sunday afternoon drive.
ME and I now have a lot more freedom to "go". This, coupled with a few new electrical circuits firing, allows ME to go places without concerns. We are planning to check out a really cool program called the Pegasus Project, a program that puts people on a horse and go for a soothing ride.
MaryEleanor has asked for a meeting of all of her caregivers this weekend. We are saying goodbye to the Rehab Without Walls people this week and welcoming a new therapy regimen next week. "It's time for a meeting to discuss this transition"....my marching orders.
We will miss all of the therapists who have helped ME get to where she is....light years from where she was in December. Many of them have committed to stay in touch.....we hope they will. They are all very special people.
But........they are not done yet! A few more therapy sessions this week before we are done. ME is up to the task, as always. Really cool people working with a really cool lady!
We all missed having Dayton join us for this visit. He kept the home fires burning while CJ enjoyed a little break.
More soon.
