Two weeks since my last post!
ME did get recasted again, this time in gold and the Huskies won this weekend! WooHoo! We go back again this week for another recast/suture removal. ME's plan is to have her cast sporting both purple and gold. Hopefully we will know more about the next steps after our visit.
Labor Day weekend sucked, weather wise. The Yakima Tennis Club hosts an annual NTRP tourny every Labor Day. Purse money is there for the open divisions. It's a party with many premier players from around the northwest gathering in Yakivegas! Our goal was to venture up to the club each day to watch the big boys and friends play. Saturday was a total bust as it rained, all day. Matches were moved to our indoor facility where viewing is tough so ME and I played hermit all day.
The weather improved enough Sunday to allow outdoor play so we made a run to the club. Sure the rain had stopped for a while but it was blowing 50 and cold! We gutted it out for a while but had to move inside the club house to survive. I set MaryEleanor up at a table and many friends cruised by for a chat.
By Monday, the weather was more cooperative so we successfully spent a couple of hours watching friends play and catching up with all of the goings on.
On the home front, Caitlin started back in her second year at the U medical school. She and Dayton decided to move this summer to Bellevue, making Dayton's commute to work easier. They are renting a condo with an option to buy after a year.
Paul scrambled out of the rain forest on Labor Day, just in time to start his job back at WWU. He moved into a new apartment this year and spent most of last week retrieving his worldly possessions from a storage unit.
Fall is in the air, the county fair starts next week. We're cruisin'. MaryEleanor continues to work hard with her therapists as she is motivated to play in next year's NTRP tournament at our club.
Have a great week!
