MaryEleanor and I enjoyed the company of relatives this past weekend. Diane and Charlie Cruikshank along with Ann and Rick Myers made the trek to Yakima from points north of Seattle. Charlie and Ann are ME's cousins, brother and sister. Diane is also a sorority sister of ME's. Rick and I are outlaws. Rick has been a football and basketball referee for years and knows a guy I used to work with here in Yakima, proving once again that you are only twice removed in Yakima.
We met at Jackson's Sports Bar for lunch on their way into town. Perfect way to kick off a day of pure laughter. Once back home, the ladies all got together to catch up on family stuff while us guys settled in to watch the Huskies basketball team play in the finals of the PAC-10 championship. The Dawgs won and are on their way to March madness.
ME convinced her cousins to stay the night in Yakima. Once this decision was made, a run to the grocery store for pizza and wine happened quickly. The conversations were lively, hilarious and fun. It was a great evening. MaryEleanor had no problem falling asleep.
The cousins popped back out Sunday morning for another brief visit before heading home. It was a great weekend. They were impressed with ME's progress. We were all impressed with the successes of our kids. Promises were made for another trip. Promises that ME will hold them to deliver.

Rick Myer, this post is dedicated to you. You made a simple comment while you were here about starting every day at work checking for a new blog entry. That means alot to ME and me. Thank you.
Dear ME:
This is Chris at LD/Boise passing along a message for you. Dr Pete Peterson ('Pedro') in Boise is thrilled to hear you are doing so well, and that he thinks of you very fondly.
ME and Dave,
John and Vera would like to know when you are coming to the east coast and how they can plan a get together. They are not technilogically savy so I am writing this for them. They have a place on the Outer Banks of NC and would love to have you come and spend time with them. Feel free to email me and I can relay any messages to them or you can call them at home. Glad things are going so well for you ME!
